Jeffers Petroglyphs Historic Site The 160-acre site features images chipped into an outcropping of Sioux quartzite from 3000 B.C. to A.D. 1700. Visitors also enjoy nature trails, which explain the prairie environment. The visitor center has exhibits and an object-theater presentation.
