Holiday Play Performed in Elevator Ride at Mill City Museum
An Eventually Christmas, Dec 18-20, 26-27, 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.
"An Eventually Christmas" is a unique holiday play that can be found only at Mill City Museum. Set in the museum's Flour Tower elevator ride, visitors move from floor to floor as each scene unfolds. The narrator, The Ghost of Mill City Past, presents an intimate look at the 1920 Washburn Crosby holiday party, featuring real stories culled from the pages of the company's employee newspaper, "The Eventually News!"

Written by local playwright Joseph Scrimshaw, and starring a cast of professional Twin Cities' actors, the audience will witness the rocky romance of Celia and Otto; thrill to the ingenious inventions of marketing mastermind, Benjamin S. Bull; experience the awesome sweeping power of Bill Smith; and learn the secret origin of the Washburn Crosby marketing slogan, "Eventually-Why Not Now?"

The show will run for two weekends, Dec. 18, 19, 20 and Dec. 26, 27. Performances are one hour long and will start at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for seniors and college students and $10 for children ages 6 to 17 and members of the Minnesota Historical Society. Mill City Museum is a great destination for guests who are in town for the holidays. In addition to stunning views from the rooftop observation deck, guests can explore the new exhibit "Minneapolis Riverfront: Then and Now" on display in the Mill Commons area, visit the museum galleries and do some holiday shopping in the museum gift store.
On Saturday, Dec. 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. guests can gain inspiration for holiday baking as the finalists in the Star Tribune's annual "Taste" Holiday Cookie Contest bake their winning recipes in the Baking Lab. Samples will be available. Program are included with regular museum admission of $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and college students, $5 for children ages 6-17 and free for MHS members.
Built within the ruins of the Washburn A Mill, a National Historic Landmark, the award-winning Mill City Museum chronicles the flour milling industry that fueled the growth of Minneapolis. The story comes to life through the eight-story Flour Tower, Water Lab, Baking Lab and other hands-on exhibits.
