The Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post is a Minnesota Historical Society site located on the southwest shore of Lake Mille Lacs. It tells the story of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe through exhibits, demonstrations and the “Four Seasons Room,” in which life-size dioramas depict early Ojibwe lifestyles. The adjacent 1930s trading post has been fully restored and offers locally made crafts and related merchandise.

The Society’s calendar of events is posted on the Internet at events.mnhs.org/calendar. The web site also has information about all of the Society’s programs, museums and historic sites. To request a free guide to museums and historic sites, call 1-800-657-3773.
